Notes on launching the Qwest Network Desktops OnDemand Demo
WARNING: The Qwest Network Desktop OnDemand Demo may not be accessible from behind a corporate firewall.

As a Netscape® Navigator 4 user, you will see the following steps the first time you access the Qwest Network Desktops OnDemand Demo.

  • A box entitled "Plug-In Not Loaded" will prompt you to "Get the Plug-In". This software is necessary to view the demo. Click "Get The Plug-In". Example

  • A window entitled "Qwest Network Desktops OnDemand Plug-In Download" will allow you to download the plug-in. Follow the instructions. Example

  • A box prompting you to save the plug-in will appear. Click OK. Example

  • When the download is complete, click "Reveal Location". Then double-click on "QwestNetworkOnDemandSetup.exe". Example

  • A box entitled "Citrix ICA 32-bit Windows Client - InstallShield Wizard" will appear. The software installation is beginning. Example

  • A box entitled "Citrix ICA Web Client" will appear. It will ask you if you want to install the "Citrix ICA Web Client". Click Yes. Example

  • A box entitled "Citrix License Agreement" will prompt you to agree to the terms of the license. After reviewing, click "Yes". Example

  • A box entitled "Citrix ICA Web Client" will inform you that the setup is successful. You may need to restart your web browser at this point. If you need to do so, return to http://www.qwest.net/. Example

  • You may encounter a box entitled "Citrix ICA Web Client." It will prompt you to restart your system. After restarting, you should proceed to http://www.qwest.net/ and you will be able to resume from this point. Example

  • You will encouter a white screen that displays "Click here to connect to server." Click anywhere on the white. Example

  • After a few seconds, a box entitled "Please wait..." will display "Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server". The demo is loading. Example

  • A box entitled "ICA Client File Security" will prompt you to select an access level for your files. Qwest recommends you select "Full Access" and "Never ask me again for this application." If you select "No Access," you will not be able to access your local computer from within the demo. Please keep in mind that only you can access your local computer, Qwest cannot. Example

  • You should see the Qwest Network Desktop Demo. Example
